REVOLUTION STARTS WITHIN

When we change ourselves, we change our lives—and the world.

WELCOME

I'm Alexis. I’m a passionate advocate for inner work.

I believe that the only way to bring about lasting, meaningful change at the collective level is through personal growth and transformation at the individual level.

After all, what is humanity but the sum of its parts?

I’ve seen time and again the positive effects that self-reflection and self-awareness can have on a person, how aligned living and spiritual practice can improve our well-being. Inner work changes us for the better, and in turn how we show up in the world changes. The energy that we put out into the collective shifts.

So in its own way, our personal evolution is a radical act—one that is ultimately in service not just to us, but to all of humanity.

This is the ‘why’ behind the work that I do. My focus is on the individual, for the benefit of the collective.

INNER WORK IS THE KEY

But what exactly is inner work?

I’ve had a great many conversations over the years with curious people who want to do inner work—though they might not use that term—but don’t know where to start, what to do, or how to do it. And I get that. I spent nearly a decade doing what I now know was inner work before even realizing inner work was what I’d been doing! The term is so broad, so overarching, that it can become disconnected from the hands-on, everyday stuff that an inner work practice is made of. So while the systems, frameworks, methods, practitioners, and resources available to help facilitate inner work are many, their connection to the practice, and its benefits, isn’t always clear. It’s no wonder many people feel lost and overwhelmed, not sure where or how to begin.

So let’s start by bringing it back to basics. Inner work is simply exploration of the self. When we do inner work, we turn our conscious awareness inward, engaging in self-reflection, acquiring self-knowledge, and increasing our self-awareness. Inner work is most often understood to done in the realm of the psyche—digging into our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and subconscious patterning. But I actually take a more holistic stance.

I think inner work applies to every aspect of our soul’s experience in this lifetime.

IT’S TIME TO EXPAND HOW WE THINK OF INNER WORK

We are multi-faceted, multi-dimensional beings. Our personal evolution isn’t just about any one aspect of our human experience—it’s about all of them. The physical, the mental, the emotional, and the spiritual. All of it animated by the unique piece of Source Consciousness that is our soul.

inquiry and the art of questioning

Soul inquiry, or the act of looking within oneself for information, is foundational to an inner work practice. By asking the right questions we become students of ourselves, getting to know the truth of who we are, shedding what is not ours to carry, and deepening our self-knowledge in the process. This is the work that our souls came here to do. We are here to learn, and to know.

If knowledge is power, self-knowledge is empowerment.

The better we know ourselves, the more empowered we are.
